Dragon, Meat, Dragon, Crocodile Smoke on Paper | Rob Tarbell:Rob Tarbell is a modern artist from our day and. Rob works in a way that resembles mine being that he works with smoke and flames. He burns the paper with smoke to get the look he has, though unlike mine where I drew the smoke. He works with the smoke so that it burns the paper to create a smoke-like residue from the flames. His work is simple yet intricate, because he has the flame marks going in all directions while just having the white of the paper surrounding the brownish/black color of the smoke. The way the smoke fades out at the bottom of the image makes the viewer finish the image for them self especially in "Dragon, Meat, Dragon, Crocodile" since the smoke goes off the page along with the image in the viewer's mind. He is so articulate with his work which I wish I could become better at. His work allows me to see what my work can become and how I can change from piece to piece making | Ghost, X-Ray Smoke on Paper |
